Olive Oil

6000 Years Old & Still a Virgin!

Olive Oil and the Olive Tree have a long and rich history and are mentioned in many ancient texts, including the Bible, Torah and Koran.   Archaeological evidence of vessels which contained olive oil date back thousands of years.  We know that throughout history olive oil has been used for cooking, lighting lamps, anointing, consecrating and for healing.

Fun Fact:  In some areas of the world Olive Trees are considered sacred and laws prohibiting the destruction of any olive tree are still obeyed.

Today extra virgin olive oil is considered one of the healthiest fats we can include in our diets while providing numerous health benefits.

People who love to eat are always the best people.

           Balsamic Vinegar

    ar ti san

(of food or drink) made in a traditional or non-mechanized way using high-quality ingredients.

Our authentic and "artisan" balsalmic vinegars are made exclusively in Modena, Italy from Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes that have been crushed, cooked, and fermented and aged inside barrels until the desired flavor is achieved. Its naturally sweet, pungent taste and mellow acidity make balsamic vinegar a perfect condiment that can be used with all food groups.  Popular mixed with extra virgin olive oil or on its own in salad dressings, as a finishing glaze on fruit, vegetables, cheese and desserts, to marinate meats, dip bread...the uses are endless.
